I woke up with stomach problems (better now) so I ended up working from home today. This is what it looks like, warts and all.

Lost My Shoe

Left My Shoe in El Segundo

In case anybody didn’t see this in my Flickr from last weekend, I really like this image I took. I only wish that the shoe was red.

Justin Dohrmann on stage

Justin Dohrmann on Bass

Not only has Justin released the Men of Letters album this summer but he’s also been gigging more with local musicians. I saw him play in Williamsburg last week with Billy Thompson. What a great time! Next time I might even get out of my chair instead of staying in the booth I was sitting in and threw the long lens on the camera. From what I’m hearing I’ll have plenty of opportunities.

In other news I’m absolutely thrilled with my new camera, the Canon 5d MKII. This was taken in basically no light at ISO 5000. Just a little bit of noise reduction in Lightroom and I think it still has better quality than four times the ambient light and ISO 800 on the old camera. Not just low light but it’s a dream to use and I’m so happy with the change of perspective on full 35mm frame vs the smaller APS-C format on the Canon Rebel XTi I had before. Buyer’s remorse? None. I wish I could get another so that if I’m shooting an event I could have I wide lens on one body and a telephoto on the other.
