Justin and Kim
Last night I was finally able to scan the slides from Justin and Kim’s wedding with the film I used in the YashicaMat 124G camera. While they didn’t come out exactly as I envisioned I think that they have a certain quality to them that you don’t see too often these days. Enjoy!
The rest of the photos from their wedding that I uploaded are available here.
Comments welcome!

While they aren’t the crystal-clear, sharp photos you see as the result of wedding photographers these days, I think they suited us perfectly. We weren’t going for a conventional wedding and didn’t want conventional wedding photos. I’m glad you used a lot of film for the wedding.
One thing I was thinking about when I was looking at these was when your mom started making pottery and how impressed we were with the first few things she made. They were super basic but it was impressive to see a homemade bowl that didn’t have any lumps or bumps on it. Now she’s propelled way beyond that level into something we couldn’t even imagine then.
Joe,
I think the pictures looked great. I think you got the true happiness of the couple because they were relaxed with you taking pictures. Great Job…..
As the Mother of the Groom and the new Mother-in-law of the Bride, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I just showed these pictures to a really good friend of mine and she started to cry. She said she could tell that it was a beautiful day and that the couple is happy. That’s quite a revelation from photographs online…especially since she was looking at them on my phone.
You have done an outstanding job of capturing a momentous occasion so that it will never be forgotten. What you are doing with your camera(s) is a gift from God and the art and the fact that you ensure there is love attached to everything you do makes every photograph you take that much better and more meaningful.
Thank you for being a part of the Dohrmann Family and for being my “other” son!
