Post Processing
Editing images on the computer is getting as fun now as capturing the images with my camera. It is really cool to be able to get the look that you want afterward - it still is very important though to get the proper exposure, focus and depth of field at the time of the photograph though. I’m not much into “fixing” as I am into some “enhancement”.
Some images need to be a contrasty black and white:

Some need to get a crazy look:

I just KNEW that someday your inner artist would surface! Whoa! Hold on to your hats! Joe’s making a name in the art world! Love you! Mama
Teach your mom how to configure a router, I am interested to see the results.
Really nice work in this post; I love what you’ve done with the bike pictures. More like that and you’re looking at doing an exhibition.
EXTREMELY KOOL!!!!! Without giving out any artistic secrets can you explain how this was accomplished? I’m totally impressed!!!
Thanks everyone for you comments.
Dave, I believe this is what was done for the “crazy” looking ones- using Photoshop CS3 I went to adjust the curves and applied the cross-process preset, I then added a film grain filter (slight, not too heavy) and the spotlight filter which gave the glow from the middle. Those and a little playing with saturation levels and such gave me these results.
