Birthday Wishes
Today is April 25, which means that my 29th birthday is in a month. What do I want? I am glad that you asked. All that I desire for my birthday (other than dvd copies of Monty Python movies I guess) is a Canon 8800F scanner. They can be purchased new for around $175 (Amazon link here). I am sure that someone I know could start a pool and get with other people I know so that each individual doesn’t have to put more than $20 or so into the pot ;).
What this scanner will allow me to do is scan my negatives. I have a crappy all-in-one now. When I do 35mm I usually get a photo CD, which aren’t too bad. My big problem is 120 film. They charge an arm and a leg to scan, so I usually get 5 inch (square) prints and scan myself on my crappy scanner. Usually the scans don’t do the images justice.
